the venue

wylam brewary, the palace of the arts | palace of the arts exhibition park, newcastle

Having built so much of our relationship and our lives around going to gigs together, and with our friends, we really wanted our wedding venue to reflect that part of us, and as a gig venue in a stunning edwardian building, Wylam Brewery is perfect.

When Liv first suggested Wylam Brewery, Sam was nervous that it wouldn't feel like us because neither of us particularly like to drink, and neither of us like beer at all. But when we went to the venue, we both fell in love with the building, the atmosphere and above all, the sound system.

The venue felt perfect for the gig atmosphere we wanted to cultivate for our evening, and we cant wait to welcome you all :)

getting there

Wylam Brewery is in central newcastle, and easily accessible by plane, train and public transport :)

via train

Newcastle Central Station is under ten minutes on public transport, or a 20-25 minute walk from the venue. There are direct trains all over the country, including London, Edinburgh, Manchester and Birmingham.

via plane

Newcastle International Airport is a ten minute drive from the venue, or 40 minutes via Newcastle's Metro. There are direct flights from across the UK and Europe, and indirect flights from the US and Australia.

via car

The nearest carpark for our venue is claremont road, an eleven minute walk from exhibition park and our venue. The car park is open 24 hrs, but charges apply from 8am to 6pm.

As parking can be limited here due to demand, alternative travel options might suit better. We unfortunately do not have any parking at the venue.

staying in newcastle

We will be staying in the quayside area of Newcastle, a short taxi-ride away from the venue. There are plenty of hotels near us or closer to the venue, including:
