what should i wear?

our dresscode is cocktail. wear a suit; an above the knee, at the knee, or midi length dress, jumpsuit; or dressy separates! we'd recommend bringing shoes you're happy to walk (and dance!) in. our venue is a 10 minute walk from the entrance to exhibition park, so we'd recommend bringing shoes you're happy to walk in.

what food will be available?

we'll be offering canapés, a 3 course wedding breakfast and evening food throughout the day.

how do i let you know i have dietary needs?

we'll ask for this when we send out food options, about 3 months before the wedding (february), but for numbers there is also a question in the rsvp box.

is the venue accessible?

the palace of the arts is a one-floor venue, and there is a ramp at the front of the building.

we will be running a shuttle "bus" (big golf cart!) at the beginning and end of our wedding to the entrance, free for all.

if you need to be dropped off at the venue itself due to disability, let us know when you RSVP and we can arrange that with the venue. there will be seating available throughout the day.

do you have a gift register?

your attendance at our wedding is your gift! If you'd like to further support us, we'd welcome a donation in our name to mermaids uk or XYZ.

is there parking available?

there is parking available at claremont road car park , and we will be running a shuttle bus from the entrance to Exhibition Park from 12:30pm-1:15pm.

if you need parking at the venue due to a disability, get in touch with us and we can organise this with the venue.

what's the weather like in newcastle in may?

so on one hand, it's almost summer! on the other... it is the north east. we're expecting highs of 15c and lows of 10c with a relatively low chance of rain but as the weather can get a little unpredictable, we'd recommend checking before you travel.

where should we stay?

we have more information about this on our accommodation page! In short, the bridal party will be staying at X and we have also reserved rooms for our guests at X. There are also plenty of other options for accommodation in Newcastle - it’s a very compact city!

wait... is sam a girl now?

yes :)
